Recycling
Bin: Paper, cans, other litter....
Most people are either in a hurry or are indifferent. The bin is designed
so that if a person misses the can or the paper slot, the litter will still
land into the bottom hole.
| The idea behind this project was to study a particular person in terms of her likes, dislikes, needs and dreams and then design a product for her which she would use during shopping. | |
| I observed the following in my Subject: | |
| -- Health conscious, recycles consumables | -- prefers organic food |
| -- organized and demands perfection | -- Image conscious |
| -- interested in art and design | -- likes talking to artists and designers |
| -- likes high quality, elegant, elite products | -- has to have food at regular intervals |
| -- does not like shopping | -- carries food while shopping |
| -- does not get time to shop |
-- does not easily admit mistakes |
| I felt I should try to make my Subject's shopping experience a more pleasant one, especially since it is not often that she happens to shop. In fact, she doesn't like shopping at all, which adds to the challenge of designing something that a person doesn't actually want. | |
